Fotheringhay Castle

Fotheringhay Castle Social Studies Visual Arts World History Geography

Long-since gone, the formidable Fotheringhay Castle once stood in splendor near the River Nene. What remains of the structure are bits of masonry from the castle keep.

All that is left, which could resemble the time when Mary Queen of Scots was tried and beheaded there, is the magnificent view and the motte where the castle was located.
