Great Fire of 1871 - Spreading Conflagration in Chicago

Chicago was a city with many wooden structures when a massive fire started on October 8, 1871.  Houses, interspersed with businesses, were all at risk as the spreading conflagration was pushed along by cyclonic-force winds.
