Handwritten Letter from Kaiser Wilhelm to President Wilson Famous Historical Events Famous People World History World War I Tragedies and Triumphs

Image of the letter which Kaiser Wilhelm II wrote to President Wilson in 1914.  The document is in the Kaiser's handwriting and is marked "For the President of the United States Personally."

The President, at the time, was Woodrow Wilson.  He had offered to mediate between Germany and Britain before the two countries fought a war against each other.  The Kaiser asked America's Ambassador to Germany, James Gerard, to personally deliver the letter to Wilson.
