Hurricanes and Tropical Storms - Peak of Season Disasters Famous Historical Events Social Studies STEM Geography Tragedies and Triumphs

Hurricane Season - in the Atlantic Ocean - begins each year on June 1st and ends on November 30th.  Major storms can develop at any time during those months.

As this graphic from NOAA depicts, however, the peak of Hurricane Season typically occurs between the middle of August and the end of October.
