Jack Roosevelt Robinson

Jack Roosevelt Robinson was born on the 31st of January, 1919 (just after the end of World War I).  Born in Georgia, he entered the world when Spanish Flu was still causing people to get sick in America.

The youngest of five children, Jackie's middle name was in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt (who had died shortly before Robinson was born).
