Justice Frank Murphy

Justice Frank Murphy Tragedies and Triumphs American History Law and Politics Social Studies

Justice William Francis ("Frank") Murphy (1890-1949) was an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court between 1940-1949.

He did not agree that it was constitutional for the United States to force Japanese-Americans to leave their homes, and businesses, and live in internment camps during World War II.
