Landing at Omaha Beach - From Saving Private Ryan

NOTE:  THIS CLIP - BEGINNING SCENES FROM SAVING PRIVATE RYAN - DEPICTS A GRAPHIC RECREATION OF THE EVENTS OF WAR  AS AMERICAN SOLDIERS APPROACHED, THEN LANDED, AT NORMANDY'S "OMAHA BEACH."

ATTEMPTING TO BE AS REALISTIC AS POSSIBLE, DIRECTOR STEVEN SPIELBERG PAID HOMAGE TO THOUSANDS OF SOLDIERS, BUT THIS CLIP IS EXCEEDINGLY DIFFICULT TO WATCH.  PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION.

This shattering clip, from Saving Private Ryan (produced by DreamWorks SKG), recreates what it was like for American soldiers who landed at Omaha Beach on the 6th of June, 1944.  British and Canadian troops, who landed at three other Normandy Beaches, experienced similar agonies. So did Americans who landed at Utah Beach.
