Swedish carpenters built a small cabin for Peter the Great as he directed development of a fort on a small Neva-Delta island.  The home was known, at the time, as "The Original Palace" and the "Red Mansion."

The Tsar himself wanted to preserve the cabin, and the Russian government has turned it into an important museum.  This image depicts the cabin's living area.
