This map depicts the location of Sparta (in the southern area of the Peloponnese); Delphi and Thermopylae (both north of the Gulf of Corinth); Cape Artemisium (northeast of Thermopylae; Salamis (in the Saronic Gulf); Athens (just east of Salamis); and Plataea (northwest of Athens). 

All of these places were impacted by Xerxes and his Immortals as they invaded (and tried to conquer) ancient Greece.
