Meteorite Located at Lake Chebarkul Famous Historical Events Geography Aviation & Space Exploration STEM Astronomy World History

Following evidence that the Chelyabinsk meteor became a meteorite after landing at (or near) Chebarkul Lake, scientists from Ural Federal University began to search for fragments.

This photo depicts a fragment which those scientists located near Chebarkul Lake.  As this photo demonstrates, the recovered fragment was very small.
