Nagasaki - Children Injured

The people of Nagasaki were also stunned at the magnitude of destruction they experienced from the atomic bomb.  Their city was struck on the 9th of August, 1945.

In this image, we see a mother and her child seeking assistance.

Maintained at the U.S. National Archives, this photograph has the following description:

Before noon on August 10, 1945, a mother and her son have received a boiled rice ball from an emergency relief party.  One mile southeast of Ground Zero, Nagasaki. 08/10/1945.
