Napoleon at the Kremlin - The Invasion of Moscow

Napoleon at the Kremlin-The Invasion of Moscow

Napoleon Bonaparte reached Moscow in September of 1812 and entered the city on the 14th of that month.

By the time he arrived, however, large parts of the city had been evacuated.  Later that night, parts of Moscow were on fire.  It did not take long, in a city built mostly of wood, to soon have nearly the whole of Moscow in flames.
