President Roosevelt and His Executive Order 9066

In February of 1942, President Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066 which required Japanese-American citizens living in the west-coast area to close their businesses, leave their homes and go to gathering places. They would then be assigned to specific internment camps where they were forced to live for the rest of the war.
