Sir Henry Creswicke Rawlinson spent years copying the Behistun Inscription.  Not only was it very difficult for him to reach the ledge upon which he worked, the ledge itself was very narrow.

His stick-to-it attitude helped Rawlinson to gather the information he (and others) needed to "crack the code" of the writing.
