Robert Ford, the Assassin of Jesse James

Robert Ford, the Assassin of Jesse James Ethics Crimes and Criminals American History Famous People Film Nineteenth Century Life Legends and Legendary People

Jesse James trusted Robert Ford enough to let him into his home.  However, that trust was misplaced.

On a day in April of 1882, while in his home, Jesse turned his back on Bob and Charlie Ford.  When he did that, Bob—who had a deal for a previous-crime pardon if he assassinated Jesse James—fired a single shot at James.  It was enough to instantly kill the famous outlaw.
