Robert R. Livingston - Declaration Committee Member American Presidents American Revolution Famous People American History

A respected statesman from New York, during colonial times, Robert Livingston was a member of the five-man committee responsible for producing a Declaration of Independence.

After America won the revolutionary war, Livingston administered the oath of office to George Washington (who was sworn-in, as the country's president, in New York City).
