Scenes in French Indochina Tragedies and Triumphs Government Social Studies World History

This image depicts various areas in "French Indochina," principally Vietnam, during the years of French rule in that part of Southeast Asia.  The illustrations were published in Le Monde Illustré on March 28, 1891.  From top to bottom, they are:

  • Panorama of Lac-Kaï, a French outpost in China
  • Yun-nan, in the quay of Hanoi
  • Flooded street of Hanoi
  • Landing stage of Hanoi
