Welcome to the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World," a student-writing project with Sonya Turlington and her Sixth-grade language arts students (from Polk County Public Schools).

Sonya led her Davenport School of the Arts students in research and writing about the Ancient Seven Wonders. It is interesting to read what impresses each student about the wonders and to see the range of research-and-writing skills.

This story is about the Great Pyramid of Giza. It proved to be a popular topic for these Polk students as they explored how ancient people could build such a massive structure that has lasted for thousands of years.

Please enjoy all 8 stories filled with student chapters on each and all the Seven Wonders!
