Student Stories on the Great Pyramid of Giza - The Great Pyramid of Giza by John Paul Jones

"The Great Pyramids of Giza", A view of the vast desert with three pyramids, by Nyks, Wikipedia.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of three pyramids that are located in Giza, Egypt that are huge in size, with a height of 455 ft. and about 481 ft. in length.

Egyptians believed that you could bring items that you leave on your deathbed, and Khufu took that to the extreme. He had the pyramid of Giza made for the sole purpose of having all of his goods, riches, money, and everything he treasured in life be with him in death.

5,000,000 million limestone bricks later, in the year 2560 BC, the Great Pyramid of Giza was finished, with all of Pharaoh Khufu’s goods and riches ready to lay near him as he was buried in the tomb, passing to the afterlife.

Six years later, Pharaoh Khufu passed away and he was laid on his deathbed with all his riches.
