The Hydrologic Cycle

The Hydrologic Cycle STEM

This image depicts the "Hydrologic Cycle" (or, put more simply, the "Water Cycle").

What are key components of the Water Cycle?

  • Water evaporates from the Earth's surface
  • That evaporated water rises into the atmosphere where it is cooled
  • The cooled water condenses into rain or snow in clouds
  • The rain or snow falls back to the Earth's surface as precipitation
