Student Stories on the Great Pyramid of Giza - The Pyramids of Egypt by Victor Toalombo Astaiza

Pyramids of Egypt still stand, including the Great Pyramid at Giza.

The Pyramids of Giza have been one of the most astonishing tourist attractions. For decades people have visited the Pyramids for a great experience, but not many peoples’ interests are focused on why, what, where, when, who or how they were built.

All of these questions are about to be answered in this very story.

The first of the Egyptian Pyramids was built beginning in 2630 B.C. The building of the Great Pyramid of Giza started around 2580 B.C. The building of the Great Pyramid took about two decades before it was finally completed.

The Pyramids must have been very complex to create, especially without the architecture we have today. All three of the Giza pyramids are located in Al Haram, Nazlet El-Semman, Al Haram, Giza Governorate, Egypt.

The Great Pyramid was built for a king of the Old Kingdom’s fourth dynasty, Khufu. Other pyramids of Egypt were built in honor of other kings. Egyptian kings were known as Pharaohs.

For years, Egyptologists had been trying to figure how these pyramids came to be. The question had remained unanswered for decades. People wasted no time and started making assumptions on how the wonder was built. Some people even came to the conclusion that Aliens had helped in the building of the pyramids.

Some people think that aliens built the pyramids in Egypt.

There was various amounts of evidence which led some Egyptologists to think that Aliens had actually helped in the building of the pyramids. There were pictures proving the statement since Archaeologists found drawings of what looked like aliens.

In the end, Egyptologists agreed to one reasonable answer as to how the pyramids were built. They believe that the stones were hauled up ramps by using ropes of papyrus twine.

The pyramids were built as tombs for Pharaohs. The pyramids were built to last forever.

Pharaohs were stored in a tomb with the necessary equipment for the afterlife. Afterlife is a belief that many Egyptians had. Afterlife is a life after death. Valuable items were stored with the Pharaohs so that they could be used in the Afterlife.

The Great Pyramid at Giza made its way onto a listing of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
