The Great Pyramid of Giza (in the middle) is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

This pyramid is the last standing of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Who built the Great Pyramid at Giza, and how tall is it? 
It was built by Khufu, a Pharaoh of the Old Kingdom's Fourth Dynasty. The pyramid is around 445 feet high (135.636 meters).

When was the construction finished?
The Great Pyramid's completion date was 2680 B.C.

How heavy are the pyramid's blocks?
The blocks are 2.5 - 15 tons (5,000-30,000 pounds) each!

Why was this pyramid built?
A lot of scientists have a theory that it was a tomb for Khufu.

How large is the Great Pyramid's base?
The base is over 52,600 square metres (566,000 sq ft) in area.

It is located in El Giza, Egypt (near the modern-day city of Cairo).

Does this pyramid have a Queen's Chamber?
The Queen's chamber is exactly Halfway between the North and South Face of the pyramid and measures 5.75 meters ( 18.9 ft). North to South, 5.23 meters ( 17.2 ft ).

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon

Where were the Hanging Gardens located?
One of the Ancient Wonders of the World, the Gardens were believed to have been built in Al-Mahawil, Iraq. (Recent excavations and studies support the view that they may have been built in or near the ancient city of Ninevah and not in or near Babylon.)

Why were the Hanging Gardens built?
The Hanging Gardens Of Babylon were built for a king's wife.

What happened to it?
It was destroyed by an earthquake.

When was it built?
Construction likely began on the Hanging Gardens of Babylon around 605 BC.

Who built it?
Nebuchadnezzar II built it (although that is recently disputed).

Colossus of Rhodes

How tall was this structure?
Height: 98' 5" (30 m)

Who built it?
Chares of Lindos.

Where was it located?
The Colossus was located at the entrance of the harbor of the Mediterranean island of Rhodes.

When did the project end?
This project ended in 280 BC, when it was destroyed by an earthquake.

Why was it built?
The statue was a depiction of the Greek sun god Helios and was meant to honor him in celebration of the Rhodians' victory over the ruler of Cyprus in 305 BC.

How tall was the structure?
Height: 98' 5" (30 m)

Temple of Artemis at Ephesus

Why was it built?
It was built as a dedication to the Greek goddess Artemis.

Where was it?
It was located in the town of Ephesus, which is now part of Turkey.

When was it built?
The first temple was built in approximately 800 BC. It was rebuilt several times, over the years, when reconstructed versions were destroyed.

What was it?
It was a temple, and some of its ruins still survive.
