Truman's Note - On a Conversation with Stalin

President Truman wrote this note on the back of a photograph depicting him with Joseph Stalin at the Potsdam Conference.

The President was mistaken, however, in his belief that Stalin knew nothing about America's new weapon.  For several years, Stalin's spies had kept him informed about the bomb's development.
