USS Cole - Aboard the Blue Marlin American History Disasters Famous Historical Events Tragedies and Triumphs

About nineteen days after terrorists attacked an American guided-missile destroyer known as the USS Cole (DDG 67), killing nineteen sailors and significantly damaging the ship, she was “high and dry” aboard a transport vessel. Blue Marlin would carry the Cole back to the States.

In this official U.S. Navy photo, we see the Cole aboard Blue Marlin as the vessels made their way to the Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi:
