USS Cole - Damaged Ship, In Port for Repairs American History Famous Historical Events Tragedies and Triumphs Disasters

The guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) arrived back in the States for repairs after the ship and her sailors were attacked in Yemen on the 12th of October, 2000.

In this official U.S. Navy photo, we see the Cole at the Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi:
