West Lawn Cemetery - Initial Burial Place of President McKinley Geography American History American Presidents Social Studies

William and Ida McKinley had two daughters.  Both died very young and were buried at Canton's West Lawn Cemetery.   The bottom photo depicts the initial burial site of both children.

The top photo depicts the original tomb where President McKinley was initially buried after his death.  Later, when the President's remains were moved to his final resting place, the bodies of his wife and two daughters were also moved.
