This photo depicts the concrete plinth on which Abraham Zapruder was standing as he filmed President Kennedy's motorcade.
From this vantage point, he was able to point his camera without people bumping into him. That fact proved to be helpful as Zapruder was able to keep filming while the assassination took place.
