Declaration and Resolves, 1st Continental Congress

On the 14th of October, 1774, the First Continental Congress declared their opposition to Parliament’s Coercive (Intolerable) Acts. This excerpt of their resolution asserts: “...to these grievous acts and measures, Americans can not submit.”
