Allied Invasion of Germany - April, 1945

As Allied forces began their invasion of Germany, a Universal News camerman was embedded with the troops.  Capturing unbelievable footage, he put himself at risk and was honored for his efforts.

Featured in this newsreel - from the 5th of April, 1945 - are shots of paratroopers landing on German soil, General Patton's Third Army capturing Koblenz, a few scenes of a French six-motor seaplane (being secretly developed during the German occupation of France) and General Eisenhower honoring the 101st Airborne Division for their efforts in the Battle of the Bulge.
