Amistad - The Replica Ship

This replica of the Amistad was built at Mystic Seaport, Connecticut.  Its keel-laying took place on the 8th of March, 1998, to commemorate the date of the Supreme Court decision (March 9, 1841) which freed the Amistad captives.
