Ando Hiroshige - Temman Shrine at Yushima

Temman Shrine at Yushima is part of the Famous Views of the Eastern Capital (Toto Meisho) which Japanese artist Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) created between 1833 and 1843.

The work (a print based on a woodblock published, in Japan, by Kikakudo / Sanoki) uses complimentary colors which greatly influenced Vincent van Gogh during his Paris years.
