Apollo 13 - After the Recovery

On the 17th of April, 1970, the crew of Apollo 13 re-entered Earth's atmosphere and splashed-down in the Pacific Ocean.  They, and their space capsule Odyssey, were recovered by the crew of the USS Iwo Jima.

Apollo 13's crew members are depicted here, aboard the Iwo Jima.  They are, from left:  Fred W. Haise Jr. (Lunar Module pilot), John L. ("Jack") Swigert Jr. (Command Module pilot) and James ("Jim") A. Lovell Jr. (Mission Commander).
