Cavatina - String Quartet in B-flat Major

This is the Cavatina - the fifth movement from Beethoven's String Quartet in B-flat major, Opus 130.  Historians report this is the only work which Beethoven composed which caused him to cry.

Although surviving sketch books contain parts of this work, no original notes remain for the Cavatina.  (See The Beethoven Sketchbooks: History, Reconstruction, Inventory (by Douglas Porter Johnson, Alan Tyson, Robert Winter), page 478.

This interpretation, performed by The American String Quartet, took place on the 21st of March, 2008, at T.N.U.A. Concert Hall, Taipei:
