Birthplace - Vincent van GoghVincent van Gogh entered the world in this two-story home at “Markt 29” in Zundert, Netherlands. The flag marks the room in which he was born, in 1853. The original house is gone (because it was too decayed to preserve), but a plaque still commemorates his birthplace. In May of 2007, renovation of the house at “Markt 29,” plus the neighboring house, began. After the remake, the Vincent van Gogh house opened in August, 2008.
