Churchill - The Gathering Storm, Part 1

NOTE:  THIS CLIP OF "THE GATHERING STORM" CONTAINS RECREATED SCENES FROM CHURCHILL'S PRIVATE, PERSONAL LIFE.  IN ADDITION, HIS WORDS ARE SOMETIMES EXPLICITLY BLUNT.  PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Churchill and his family are living their lives at Chartwell, their family home, in 1934.  Concerned about what is happening in India, Churchill prepares a speech targeting Gandhi (among other things).

Albert Finney portrays Winston in this clip from the film, The Gathering Storm.  Vanessa Redgrave is Clementine (Clemmie).

The film is based on Volume 1 - The Gathering Storm - of Churchill's six-volume work on World War II.

Not everyone agrees with Churchill's analysis of events leading up to the war.  See, for example, this article by Professor John Charmley.
