Churchill - The Gathering Storm, Part 4

"Britain's hour of weakness is Europe's hour of danger," Churchill warns the country.  The British people, however, overwhelmingly believe there should be universal disarmament - and want peace.  Winston is sure Germany is arming for war.

As Hitler convinces lawmakers in his country to pass onerous laws, Stanley Baldwin (then Prime Minister) thinks that whatever is going on in Germany is the Germans' business.  The British public, meanwhile, is unaware that Germany will soon be strong enough to wage a very aggressive war.

As primary information regarding Germany's affairs come into Britain's Foreign Office, there are some - principally Ralph Wigram - who believe key documents should be shared with Winston Churchill.  Surely ... Winston could use his instincts, and powers of persuasion, to force the government to do something ... if only he knew the facts?
