Civil Defense Strategy - "Duck and Cover"

This image is the title screen from the 1950s short film, “Duck and Cover”.  The Federal Civil Defense Administration, formed in response to the Soviet’s successful nuclear bomb test, released the film to teach children what to do in the event of a nuclear attack.

It proposed that children could protect themselves from a nuclear bomb by simply crawling under their desk and covering their head.
