Mining in the BorinageA film scene in Misère au Borinage (1934) shows a coal mine in Borinage, Belgium. Vincent worked as a lay pastor with some of the miners in this region of Europe. It was also here that Vincent first began to create art as he drew miners and their poor living conditions. CreditsMisère au Borinage, by Joris Ivens, is a 34-minute silent film in black and white.
