Cumbria - Its Location in Britain

Cumbria is located in the northwest part of Britain.  Bounded on the west by the Irish Sea, it contains the country's highest points.  Cumbria's Lake District attracts tourists from all over the world.

Some historians believe that St. Patrick, whose father was a Roman official, was born in Cumbria during the waning years of Rome's occupation.
