Devastation in Nagasaki

Six weeks after the bomb detonated over Nagasaki, Cpl. Lynn P. Walker, Jr. (U.S. Marine Corps) took this picture of battered religious figures.  The temple in which they once resided, like so much else in the area, was completely devastated.
