Incriminating Evidence - Anthony Babington LetterThis letter exchange, between Anthony Babington and Mary, Queen of Scots, led to the downfall of both. Francis Walsingham, a key advisor to Elizabeth I, was monitoring communications between Mary and her supporters. When this document came into his possession, he had evidence to condemn the former queen.
