FDR in His WheelchairPresident Roosevelt did not want pictures to be taken of himself if they reflected his disability. This photograph, taken in 1941, is one of few which show the President in his wheelchair. Here we see him at Top Cottage, in Hyde Park, with Ruthie Bie (the grandaughter of FDR's Hyde Park caretaker). Click on the image for a better view.
