Final Solution - Corruption at Auschwitz

Auschwitz I and II (the latter known as Birkenau) were located near the Polish town of Oswiecim.  The Nazi death camps became killing centers where the largest numbers of European Jews were killed.

After an experimental gassing there (of about 850 malnourished, ill prisoners in September, 1941), mass murder became routine. By the middle of 1942, people were being gassed with Zyklon-B.
