This graphic depicts the three parts of the triangle trade: 

Raw materials (from the "new world") were sent to Europe for manufacturing;

Finished goods were exported from Europe;

Human beings, from Africa, were captured as slaves and sent to the "new world" to help produce the natural resources needed to create manufactured goods.
