Gulzar - Wrote Lyrics for Jai Ho!

Gulzar - whose birth name is Sampooran Singh Kalra - penned the lyrics for Jai Ho!  The work, from Slumdog Millionaire, won an Academy Award for Best Song.  Gulzar shared the award with A.R. Rahman who wrote the music.
