Herakles - Greek Hero

Herakles (also spelled Heracles) was one of the greatest of all Greek heroes.  (Romans had their own traditions about him, but for them his name was Hercules.)  In Greek mythology, he was the son of Zeus and Alcmene - a mighty warrior who possessed great strength, courage and ingenuity.
