Huns at the Battle of ChalonsThis illustration, of the Huns fighting at Chalons (also known as the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains), is by A. De Neuville (1836-1885). The fighting took place, in 451, between Atilla (together with his Huns and allies) on one side and the Roman general Flavius Aetius (together with Theodoric I and his Visigoths) on the other.
