Ia Drang - We Were Soldiers

This video clip, from National Geographic's series on the Vietnam war, includes an interview with Lt Col Hal Moore plus historical footage regarding an early ground battle of the conflict.  Moore commanded American troops during the battle at Ia Drang.

The story of Moore, and the battle, was the subject of Mel Gibson's movie, We Were Soldiers which was based on Moore's book:  We Were Soldiers Once ... and Young.
