Inca Empire - A Child of Twelve

This image, from Poma de Ayala's chapter on the general inspection, or census, reveals the appearance of a twelve-year-old Inca boy:  "The sixth 'street' or age group, maqt'a, youth of twelve years."

It is drawing 75 (on page 204) of his book, The First New Chronicle and Good Government On the History of the World and the Incas up to 1615.
