Inca Empire - Its People

This image, from Poma de Ayala's chapter on the general inspection, or census, reveals the appearance of a thirty-three-year-old Inca woman:  "The fifth 'street' or age group, sipaskuna, virgin of thirty-three years."

It is drawing 84 (on page 223) of his book, The First New Chronicle and Good Government On the History of the World and the Incas up to 1615.
